Full & Partial Dentures
Restoring Smiles & Function
When multiple teeth—or even an entire arch—is missing, dentures provide a functional, aesthetic solution that restores chewing ability, speech support, and facial structure.
Types & Design
-
Partial Dentures: Replace some missing teeth while anchoring to remaining natural teeth
-
Full Dentures: Replace an entire arch of teeth
We use impressions or digital scans to capture your ridge form and soft tissue anatomy. Trial setups ensure fit, comfort, and esthetics before final processing.
Patient Adaptation & Fitting
Wearing new dentures can require an adjustment period. You may experience increased saliva, changes in speech, or pressure points initially. We schedule follow-up visits to adjust the fit and relieve sore areas. With guidance and adaptation, patients usually acclimate within days to weeks.
Advantages & Limitations
Dentures provide full aesthetic and functional replacement of teeth at a more affordable cost than implants. However, they rely on soft tissue support and may move slightly. They require regular relining or adjustments over time to maintain fit.
Care & Maintenance
Daily cleaning, removing at night, soaking in denture solution, and avoiding brittle foods are key. Periodic checkups help detect wear, bone changes, or need for relines. If stability becomes a problem, upgrading to implant-supported options may be considered.
Ideal Candidates
Dentures are appropriate for patients missing multiple teeth who may not be suitable for or ready for implants. Good overall oral health, adequate bone ridge form (or planning for relines), and realistic expectations about adaptation are important for success.
