Dental Implants

The Gold Standard Replacement

Dental implants replace missing teeth with artificial roots (typically titanium), which integrate into the jawbone. Once stable, they support crowns, bridges, or overdentures, functioning and looking very much like natural teeth.

The Implant Process

  1. Consultation & Planning – We use 3D imaging and digital scans to evaluate bone density, nerve location, and ideal placement angles.

  2. Surgical Placement – Under local anesthesia (and sedation, if needed), we precisely position the implant. Healing (osseointegration) occurs over several months.

  3. Restoration – Once stable, we attach a custom abutment and crown/bridge/denture matched in shade and shape to your smile.

Guided surgical stents and microscopes may assist in accuracy and reduced trauma.

What Patients Can Expect

The surgical part often causes mild swelling or discomfort which subsides in days. Most patients return to normal routine quickly. We provide post-op care instructions and monitor healing. You’ll also be instructed on hygiene around implant components to maintain health.

Advantages of Implants

  • Prevent bone resorption that follows tooth loss

  • Do not compromise adjacent teeth

  • Provide strong, stable function comparable to natural teeth

  • Offer long-term durability when well maintained

Maintenance & Lifespan

Implants can last decades with proper oral hygiene, regular dental check-ups, and maintenance of soft tissue health. You’ll need to clean around abutments, scan for early inflammation, and avoid excessive forces.

Who Makes a Good Candidate?

Good candidates have sufficient bone volume (or are eligible for grafting), healthy gums, and stable overall health. Even if bone is lacking, we can use bone grafting or sinus lifts to support implant placement. We assess carefully and plan personalized implant solutions.
